Xi'an National High-tech Industries Development Zone

Xi'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone,(hereinafter abbreviated as XDZ)was founded in May, 1988 , and approved as the national development zone by the State Council in March, 1991 .It is situated in the south of Xi'an City.

Since 1994 , XDZ's composite index has always ranked at the top among the 53 national hi-tech development zones in China and been appraised as one of the nationwide advanced development zones. More importantly, XDZ took the lead in joining the organization network of the APEC technological park with the approval of the State Council in 1997

In 2001 , XDZ was classified as one of the 5 national demonstration high-tech industrial development zones in the 10 th Five-year Plan period by the State Ministry of Science and Technology, and elected as one of the Top 10 Historical Incidents of Xi'an in the 20 th Century by the citizen of Xi'an City with high votes

In Dec, 2002 , XDZ was regarded as one of the most vigorous 6 cities and areas of China by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO);

In Dec, 2003 , XDZ was appraised as the Chinese Top 50 Sincere and Safe Area for Investment Environment

With 10 -year plus development, XDZ has become one of the areas characterized by the high reputation, the optimal environment and the rapid development in the central and

western regions, and been praised as the 9th Scenery in Guanzhong Area(Central area of Shaanxi Province ) .

Over the past 13 years, XDZ, according to the commercialized, industrialization and internationalization purpose of high-tech achievements, has effectively activated, by virtue of the comprehensive technological advantages and basic industries advantages of Xi'an City, the local technological resources based upon the actual situation through system innovation and technological innovation, thus formed the outstanding capacity for technological innovation and resource assembly.
