Xi'an Economic & Technological Development Zone, founded in 1993, was ratified by the State Council as a state-level economic & technological development zone in February 2000. In June 2002 it set up the state-level Xi'an Export Processing Park, Shaanxi. Xi'an Economic & Technological Development Zone is situated in the north of Xi'an City. Its Central Section is on the city's north-south axis between round-the-city expressway and the 2nd ring road. Around the Central Section are its Jingwei Industrial Park , Caotan Ecological Industrial Park , Export Processing Park . The zone will be the most important place in the city's economic and social development, with the expansion of the city and the shift of its center of gravity to the north and the implementation of its strategy to develop beyond the Weihe River. |

Some of the Internationally Known Enterprises in the Zone : There are more than 1, 700 enterprises in the zone including 13 of the world top 500 , such as Coca-Cola, Siemens, Rolls-Royce, ABB, Hydro, etc.in addition to Dingxin Group from Taiwan and Shaanxi Heavy-Duty Automobile,Yongji of Shanxi, West Super-Conductors,Qiyuan Electro-Machinery,etc.from the mainland of China . Industries Structures : 4 pillar industries of petro-chemical , electricity & electronics, food & beverage and bio-pharmacy have taken shape in the zone after over 10 years of our hard work. The recent years have witnessed the crucial moment of the new crucial round of fast development of the zone whose chief economic indexes have maintained an average growth rate of about 40 %, ranking on top not only in the economy of Xi'an but also among the similar zones in central and western regions of China. |
